The Freeze Your Buns Off 5k is quickly becoming an unofficial fitness tradition. You will not want to miss the excitement and camaraderie of this 3rd annual family fun run and Healthy Living Expo to help keep you motivated in your New Year fitness goals. Whether you are six or sixty, prefer to run, jog, race or walk this course is great for all abilities. The healthy living Expo is indoors and the race start and finishes at The Douglas County Events Center in Castle Rock Colorado.

The FREEZE YOUR BUNS OFF RUN is a 5k distance and will be “chip timed”. A portion of the proceeds will benefit Project Recycle (to learn more go to ProjectRecycle.org).
The course is a paved “fast” course utilizing a section of Castle Rock’s scenic trails, neighborhoods, and a slight uphill stretch to the finish. Enjoy a fun 5k run, Castle Rock’s beautiful topography, views and finish with the indoor Colorado Healthy Living Expo.
FREEZE YOUR BUNS OFF participants will be receive goodie bags, after run continental breakfast and an EXPO like no other 5k in Colorado.

February 08, 2014 – 5K Run/Walk
8:00 am Day of event registration/bib/chip pick-up begins in side of the Douglas County Events Center at 500 Fairgrounds Road in Castle Rock, Colorado (the “hub” of Douglas County).
9:00 am Start of 5K. PLEASE NOTE, the course will “Officially” close at 10:30 am and timing will cease. There are NO Aid stations on the course. However, there will be water at the finish. Should you require more water please carry a hydration system. Refreshments, awards and give-aways will follow the run at the indoor stage at 10:30am. The Expo will be open to the public from 8:00am to 3:00pm.
PETS / DOGS
Unfortunately, pets are NOT allowed inside the Douglas County Events Center. Due to the time of year, course conditions may vary and may not accommodate runners & dogs safely on Saturday. Please use your best discretion when making the decision to bring your pet. Your cooperation is appreciated.
IF YOU CHOOSE TO WEAR iPODS, ETC, THEY MUST BE REMOVED AS YOU APPROACH THE FINISH LINE IN ORDER TO HEAR INSTRUCTIONS FROM RACE OFFICIALS. THIS IS FOR YOUR SAFETY AND THE SAFETY OF OTHERS. BIBS MUST BE CLEARLY VISIBLE AND PLACED ON THE FRONT OF YOUR BODY-THANK YOU FOR YOUR CONSIDERATION, AS ADHERENCE TO THE ABOVE WILL MAKE THIS A FUN AND SAFE EVENT FOR EVERYONE.
